Edinburgh 2005
This was my first real holiday away on my own and it was here that I was able to further develop what was becoming quite a distinctive photographic style. It always amuses me to think that I spent more time photographing the shadowy staircase in one museum than I spent looking at the actual paintings!

Portugal 2006
When a friend invited me to Portugal for a couple of days I jumped at the chance. As well as being a brilliant holiday in it's own right, I was in awe of the scenery, architecture and stunning views. My friend was very supportive of my interest in photography and these images are some of my all time favourites.

Edinburgh 2006
You can't really repeat a favourite holiday - the enjoyment is a mixture of time, circumstance and a million other random coincidental factors. However having had such a great time in Edinburgh the first time and capturing some really original images, I was keen to go back, take in the atmosphere and see what would happen.

Paris 2007
Paris was my first European city break on my own. The architecture was unlike anything I'd ever seen before and it was hard not to be affected by the culture and romance. Places have different personalities at different times of the year, and visiting Paris at Christmas was both beautiful and inspiring. The pictures speak for themselves.
